A balanced diet is the foundation for maintaining health. Breakfast should contain sufficient protein, complex carbohydrates, healthy fats, fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Protein can help with muscle repair and growth, complex carbohydrates provide long-lasting energy, healthy fats support cell function, fiber promotes digestion, while vitamins and minerals maintain the normal functioning of various physiological functions in the body. For example, oats are an excellent breakfast choice, rich in beta glucans that help lower cholesterol while providing abundant dietary fiber and B vitamins.

-Ingredients: 2 slices of whole wheat bread, 1 ripe avocado, 1 tomato, a little sea salt and black pepper

-Method of making: Slice avocado and tomato, spread on roasted whole wheat bread, sprinkle with sea salt and black pepper for seasoning.
